Hawthorne the Band — an Indie-Folk group with a modern edge.
Musicians Nat Osborn and Aimee Bayles met a decade ago and have been harmonizing ever since.
Together, they form the basis of Hawthorne, an NYC-based indie-folk band with an urban edge.
Hawthorne’s music weaves intricate vocal harmonies with contemporary folk melodies and arresting instrumentation, facilitated by long-time collaborator Karna Ray on the cello.
New Single — “Are We”
“Are We” was released globally in October of 2021 and is available everywhere you listen to music.
While sonically rooted in their Americana sound and featuring signature elements, including cellist and musical partner Karna Ray, it sees the band’s songwriting mature even further and move their unique sound into a realm that’s ready for radio.
The track is produced by Kiyoshi Matsuyama and longtime collaborator Danielle Warman of Chiller Sound (Bruce Springsteen, Phish). It features Jason Burger (Big Thief) on drums and Johnny Simon Jr. (Wilsen) on guitar.
